The Land Use & Transportation Committee (LUT) of the Portland Downtown Neighborhood Association (PDNA) meets monthly.
Most LUT meetings feature members of a development team presenting a proposal for the renovation or construction of a downtown building. Presentations provide an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and provide feedback. Presentations also provide information to allow attendees to participate in the public hearing process as development teams seek approval from the Design Commission or the Historic Landmarks Commission. In some cases the LUT will recommend that the PDNA Board take a formal position on a development project, writing a letter or providing testimony at a hearing.
Meetings without guest presenters provide an opportunity to share updates about ongoing projects and other land use and transportation initiatives. Most changes to transportation services and infrastructure are presented and discussed at the general PDNA, rather than the committee meeting.
These meetings are open to the public, and all are welcome to attend and participate in constructive discussion.
