The Land Use & Transportation Committee (LUT) of the Portland Downtown Neighborhood Association (DNA) meets most months.

Most LUT meetings feature members of a development team presenting a proposal for the renovation or construction of a downtown building. Presentations provide an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and provide feedback. Presentations also provide information to help attendees to participate in the public hearing process as development teams seek approval from the Design Commission or the Historic Landmarks Commission. In some cases the LUT will recommend that the DNA Board take a formal position on a development project, writing a letter or providing testimony at a hearing.

Would you like to advocate that the DNA Board take a position on a proposed development? Please email

Meetings without guest presenters provide an opportunity to share updates about ongoing projects and other land use and transportation initiatives. Many changes to transportation services and infrastructure are presented and discussed at the general DNA, rather than the committee meeting, but LUT meetings are occasionally devoted to long-range transportation planning.

These meetings are open to the public, and all are welcome to attend and participate in constructive discussion.
